Check History In The Mobile App
History shows the checks your factory has already done: what was checked, the result, who recorded it and when, and the photos they took. Use it on the floor to see what happened on a line in the last shift, look back at a reading, or flick through the photo evidence without going to the portal.
History is read-only. Nothing you do in it changes a result.
Open History
In the mobile app, go to the Checks tab and tap History, below Proposed changes and Insights.
History opens filtered to the line you had selected on the Checks tab. Clear the line filter to see every line in the factory.
Who Can See What
Anyone with access to a factory can see its whole history, including lines they are not assigned to. You never see results from a factory you do not have access to.
List And Photos
Use the switcher at the top right to change between two views of the same results:
- List shows each check as a row.
- Photos shows every photo attached to a completed check as a grid.
Both views use the same filters, so filtering to Fail and switching to Photos shows only the photos from failed checks.
The List
Results are grouped by day, newest first. Days follow the factory's time zone, not your phone's.
Each day's heading shows how many checks were done that day and how many were missed, for example 12 done · 3 missed. Days with only missed checks still appear as headings. Tap a missed count to apply the Missed outcome filter.
Each row shows:
- the check's title and its outcome:
Pass,Fail,SkippedorMissed; - the machine, the time and who recorded it;
- a camera icon when the result has a photo;
Ad hocwhen the check was triggered by hand rather than by its schedule.
Tap a completed or skipped row to open its result. Missed rows have no result, so tapping them does nothing.
Press and hold any row, including a missed one, and choose Open check timeline to see that check's full history.
Why missed checks are hidden
The list shows passed, failed and skipped checks. Missed checks appear only when you choose the Missed outcome filter, or tap a day's missed count. Missed checks can outnumber completed ones, and showing them all the time would bury the results. The day headings always count them.
Photos
The Photos view shows every photo attached to a completed check, whether or not the check requires a photo. It does not show:
- photos attached to a skipped check;
- target photos and reference photos on the check itself.
Photos are grouped by day. A photo from a failed check has a small red marker in its corner.
Tap a photo to open it full screen. In the viewer:
- swipe left or right to move through every photo that matches your filters; more photos load as you go;
- pinch or double-tap to zoom;
- tap once to hide or show the details;
- swipe down to close.
The details show the check, machine, line, outcome, who recorded it and when, Ad hoc where it applies, and the note. Tap a long note to read all of it. Tap View result to open the full result.
Filters
Tap Filters to choose:

Each filter you apply shows as a chip beside the Filters button. Tap a chip to remove that filter.
There is no default date range: scroll down to go further back. Your filters stay in place while the app is open, and reset when you close it.
The Result Screen
The Result screen shows one recorded result:
- the reading, and the target it was judged against at the time it was recorded. If the target has changed since, the Result screen still shows the old one;
- for a centreline outside its target, what the operator did: set it back to target (with the corrected value), left it as is, or disputed the target, and the reason if it could not be fixed;
- the photo; tap it to view it full screen;
- the note, or for a skipped check the reason it was skipped;
- who recorded it, when, when it was due, and how long it took.
Links take you to the action the reading raised or updated, the target change proposal it started, the check's timeline and the machine, where these exist.
Completion and due times use the result's factory time zone, which is shown beside the time. This also applies when you open a shared result from another factory.
Share A Result
Tap the share button on the Result screen or in the photo viewer to send a link to the result. Only the link is shared, never the photo. The link opens the Result screen in the Continual app for anyone with access to that factory. Anyone else sees Result not found.
Troubleshooting
- A photo is missing from the grid. The grid shows only photos from completed checks. Check your filters, especially
OutcomeandDone by. - A photo shows a blank tile for a moment. Photos load over the network. If a photo fails to load, History retries once. Pull to refresh to try again. The Result screen offers
Try againif its photo is still unavailable. - A shared link says
Result not found. The result belongs to a factory you do not have access to, or the link is incomplete.
